About Foresimpov
Foresimpov was founded by interior architect Erik Forsman and master joiner Oskar Povlsen after they collaborated on a barbershop renovation in Gamla Stan. Erik brought retail flow expertise from NK department store projects; Oskar brought commercial joinery from hotel fit-outs. Together they saw a gap: barbershops treated as generic retail rather than ritual spaces.
Philosophy
A barbershop interior must survive 400+ client visits weekly while feeling intimate. We design for durability first — solid surfaces, commercial-grade fixtures, easy-clean floors — then layer texture, lighting, and proportion to create atmosphere. Every project starts with how many stations, traffic flow, and whether retail is part of the business model.
